Welcome back to the bimonthly blog updates!

You might remember me saying that there would be a blog post last month with a released prototype for you to play. There WAS a prototype to play, I just decided against uploading it publically as it was quite riddled with bugs. I didn't want anyone who was slightly interested and downloaded the game to see what this niche project was all about to get the wrong impression of how the game would look like and lose all interest in it. Of course, with me lacking good art and music composing skills, and only making up to it with decent programming knowledge (which isn't even useful for the engine I'm using for this game), it's kind of a given people will think this is another low effort fangame and get driven away. So I decided to relesae this buggy build in the KKMBA Development Discord Server (which you can join using this link here), since the people who were there would at least know the game wouldn't be in the best state.

Even when I decided to do this closed prototype showcase in the server, I was expecting a bit more negativity towards whether the game would actually be good or not. There were even more bugs than I had anticipated, an easy game breaking bug you could pull off by simply dying after picking up an item after saving would cause you to be softlocked from continuing to progress in the game! Imagine if I had made this build properly public! But fortunately, the people in the server are just as passionate about the project as I am, and understood that the game would probably not be the most stable thing in the world (if that major bug didn't tell you lol) and gave me lots of feedback and bug reports to work with. I am very grateful to the people who did participate in this little eperiment, and hope that they will provide more feedback and bug reports for the rest of the development time!

Well enough yapping. After about a month of eating, sleeping, gaming, coding and procrastination, I am glad to announce that Koishi Komeiji's Mind Boggling Adventure V0.0.4 will be released for the public... NOW! If you don't care about any of the other stuff I'm going to say and want to get on to playing the game, you can do so by clicking on this link here. To celebrate, here's another teaser video for you to watch!

Still here? You might be wondering where the other 3 versions were. Don't worry, you didn't miss on any secret versions! These were mainly just 'checkpoint' versions, or just even more hush hush secret versions. Well...

So what will be different between 0.0.3 and 0.0.4? Not much lol. Apart from it being much more stable. And a couple of other things added, just to give the people who did play the older version something some new goodies to look at. I hope you will enjoy seeing the progress made so far, and will stay along for the ride!

So, with 0.0.4 finally releasing, what will come next?

Because of the break in University, I was able to spend much more time actually working on the game - even if I'm procrasting lots of the time... I highly doubt when I start Year 2 of University I will be able to keep working at the pace I am currently on for the duration of the year. Therefore, I'm hoping that before I start university on September, I will have most, if not all the hard work and labour done, ready for a possible demo release for Halloween. It'll still release during uni, but with all the work done, it would probably just be some bug testing and other small jobs to be completed. Whether this will happen... is completely on me and my determination to keep going and actually work. And if you've seen how frequently I update this blog, it will be a miracle if it happens. But I'm hoping if I do release it, this will suffice until the year is completed and I can release more. Will I make another demo then? I dunno. Too early to decide.

Once again, I hope you enjoy playing 0.0.4! I'll really appreciate if you could send some sort of message on how you enjoyed playing the game, whether it's through the KKMBA Development Server here, or wherever else you can find me

I forgot to draw a silly image so here's some text to publically expose me for not taking the effort to draw a silly image!
